There is SO much removed for the manhwa adaptation... lots of details are gone so things can be confusing or too fast. The emotional impact is also not there at all...... that should be the highlight of this arc......

Wtf. I had hoped the mom would at least ask how it happened and sided with him. Even the friend glossed over the fact its a one night stand. Can anyone in the story pls just sympathise with the MC? Im so angry. Maybe that's why I dont like the pushy ML.
I think they assumed it was intentional (with his mother suspecting he d like to raise a child on his own)
girl just smile for once. it’s quite literally implied that they’re aware he always wanted to have a kid someday and he’s a guarded person so his mom is trying not to make him uncomfortable. that asides, there’s literally no “sides” to take in this.
Her son is an adult and grew up with no problems. In her mind, she probably DIDN'T even consider the fact that Lee Hyun got pregnant from a one-night stand. She believes that her son is making the right decision. And lastly they are adults, why should she pry if he didn't bring it up himself?
And the friend in this case why WOULD she sympathize? Lee Hyun wasn't showing distraught or anything. He didn't tell her the news in a way that would come off as something unfortunate. And one night stands aren't usually considered as bad ╮(￣▽￣)╭ as long as the two parties involved had given both their consents. In Lee Hyun's case he was drunk and it was non-con, but did he tell that to his friend? No.
Why would he not tell them tho? Well, considering the little backstory about his memories with his mom, he grew up with a mother who didn't like to show weakness. So, him not telling the real story behind the pregnancy could be a way to not show weakness OR just like he said in the lastest chapter, he didn't want to talk bad about the Mother of the baby lol XD
I wouldn't even call having a drunken one night stand non-con unless the other person is blackout drunk. But that's my personal opinion and my interpretation of the scene, since even when I'm drunk I can still make rational decisions and know what I want. The alcohol just strips away the insecurity and social anxiety for me, but I know it's different between people.
The way I read the scene it wasn't until he started his heat that he was unable to give or deny consent at which point Seo's limited rational thinking concerning Lee Hyun had gone on fucking vacation, whether it was from the limited pheromone's, his little obsession/possesivness, some "alpha" instinct or all three I can't tell.
What sides and what sympathy Lee Hyun literally views that drunken one night stand as nothing more than a minor incident even less significant than a mistake made by a new hire. His whole reaction and behavior shows that he doesn't view it as either good or bad, hell he's dismissive and apathetic of it. Both mc and ml are being problematic, mc disregards the ml's wants and desires concerning the baby (he's too clueless about the romantic "hints") while the ml is too pushy and manipulative. Neither of them has talked about what they want and feel in clear cut terms to the other. Like all these stories they need to sit down and have a proper talk between them. Mc is rational and distant while ml is emotional and conniving, both are frustrating.
I couldn't agree more lol. Just gotta yeet the logical part of my brain to not get pissed off whenever I read it ╮(￣▽￣)╭
