Im fucking confused?? If an omega were to be marked, they normally cant smell / react to pheromones that belong someone else except their partner... So, does this mean Chase is stupid, or the omegaverse here is way different than every other verse?

Naah Chase thought Pete' Mother (Alpha) marked Joshua. Because Joshua said Chase was his first Man. So yea Chase figured the one who marked Joshua is Alpha Pete's mom
It’s definitely different, just remember to think of every omegaverse plot as its own separate story with separate rules. Idk if this is how it is for every couple in this specific series but I remember in one of the novels, saying that the alphas have more to lose than omegas. Like in this universe an omega is able to mark multiple alphas but once an alpha is marked by an omega, they can only be with that single omega. Same with how the mark is formed on the ear instead of back of the neck like other stories.
Oh yea I forgot about that part.. If Alpha gets maker by Omega they can't have any other partner...
