Sadly, I’m stopping at chapter 7. For a story about sex work that keeps highlighting the dangers of power dynamics and asymmetrical relationships, it starts gaslighting the reader pretty quickly.
Why do I use the word gaslighting? Because of the end of the chapter. The author tries to justify herself by making the young guy (sexworker) explain (almost like you’re reading a content warning) that he’s fully in control, acting of his own free will, and very clear about his boundaries.
Just two pages earlier, he points out that he’s older (21) than the protagonist was when she was in financial trouble (20). So apparently a one-year gap is enough to highlight a difference in mindset, but a 15 year gap isn’t enough to create a power imbalance?
And you know what, if it were treated as a flaw, that would be fine. But like I said, this reads more like an attempt at justification. For someone THAT aware of the issue, the explanation feels nonsensical and honestly a bit creepy. It sounds like a groomer’s argument.
Since you dropped it at ch 7, I'm just gonna say it. This 'therapist' needs his own actual therapist. Bro's been fcked up since he was a child, and his environment did not help him get through it at all, coping and coming up with conclusions on his own, without a proper adult to rely on, while being desperate for love.
Theory : The author is a but restrain with the production of Kare ni Irai shite wa Ikemasen and can’t put all the BL that she wants in it, and because she needed to get it out of her system, she wrote that oneshot

I like originality, but not here! I want them together so much . Anyway, I know chapter 8 is already out, and I’m craving it!
I do not know if this is a serious problem but I am a little worried. The translator is quite active and the end of year celebrations are over. Would anyone know if he / she is doing well? no one knows if we can contact him / her?
So that mean that it’s only the 2nd time Tanzine has his réincarnation, and Oriana got it only 1 time ?

- Third life - 2 cycle (the one that we followed, being Oriana first reincarnation)

Pretty sure there’s been more cycles. Vincent only thinks its the third cycle because Oriana told him about their “first life” but he doesn’t have any memories from before that. And neither does she bc each time they reincarnate they lose all their memories.
At this point, I guess we gotta ask Miguel how many cycles there have been and MORE IMPORTANTLY, how he didn't lose his marbles, or IF HE DID, and that's why we're were we are.
At this point, neither of them know Miguel is also being reincarnated every cycle. And he remembers all their previous lives unlike them. I think I read he’s bound by the curse to never tell them. Idk at what point we find out he’s also aware, but I don’t imagine we’ll get his side of the story anytime soon.
Are you saying that Miguel also reincarnates each time oriana and Vincent do ? And that he remembers every timeline ?
Yes sorry that was a spoiler I should’ve tagged :( I wasn’t thinking cuz this is just a reply thread. But yes miguel reincarnates along with vincent and oriana as per the curse but he can’t tell them what happens. He’s the only one in this never ending cycle that keeps his memories each time. That’s why he looks so forlorn when he sees oriana off that last time cuz he knows what will happen to her. I haven’t read the novel so I’m not too sure of all the details, I got all this off of another person who posted novel spoilers in the comments a while back.
