Okay, so the world doesn't automatically reset if Guwon dies alone. Jinwoo also has to die with him if they want to go back to zero. It's like the opposite of Dead Man Switch, whenever Hohyun dies everything resets and only Youngwon could remember— I'm guessing when they both (Guwon and Jinwoo) die they don't easily recall their past regressions, the full moon probably is a big factor for letting them remember their past selves
