Short but nice read. Chris's personality could've been more nuanced but it makes sense he's a cardboard since people arent really his thing. Agreed w/ other comments here that a more serious disagreement could've happened, although I think that wouldn't be easily achieved in a short story. All in all the setting is beautiful, I love dolls and artisan characters who are too passionate that they go insane (need more stories like that)
