Yeah, he definitely is one of the rare MLs who are actually decent. He genuinely cares about Pilsang and has been surprisingly sweet to him for the most part, listening to his requests and respecting his choices (No kissing, removing the heat alarm, etc...).

That said, I do agree that his cold-hearted businessman persona keeps getting in the way of his real feelings. Whenever things get too emotional, he tends to fall back on that detached, harsh side of himself, and that's often when he ends up being cold or distant toward Pilsang.

I can totally see him getting angry after finding out Pilsang hasn't been taking his meds and accidentally saying something hurtful in the heat of the moment. Not because he doesn't care, but precisely because he does ! He'd be worried about Pilsang's health and frustrated that he's putting himself at risk, but instead of showing concern, he'd probably let that cold, harsh side speak for him ╥﹏╥

And knowing Pilsang, he'd completely misunderstand it. He'd think Jooeon hates him and regrets being with him, get scared, and that could end up being one of the factors that leads to the runaway arc, before Jooeon even gets the chance to explain himself.

Not really, but I guess the confusion could come from the fact that the heat setting in the story is a very unusual situation, so it falls into a grey area. If you’re talking about the fing*ring at the beginning, Pilsang wasn’t conscious and couldn’t communicate consent, but he had been drugged with a heat inducer that was putting his body in a dangerous state, and Jooeon had to stop the reaction before it became life-threatening.
So, the scene is framed more like an emergency intervention in the story’s universe rather than a sexual advance (the way it's portrayed is closer to a life saving action, like giving mouth-to-mouth during CPR, where the purpose is to save someone, not seek intimacy.)

The first time they actually had s*x is different tho because Pilsang was conscious, more stable, and able to make a choice. Jooeon gave him the option to push him away if he didn’t want it and said he would stop immediately, but Pilsang clearly chose to continue and told him to hurry up and just f*ck him.

So yeah, I understand why the situation can feel complicated because of the premise, but within the context of the story, it isn’t portrayed as Jooeon taking advantage of Pilsang.

I mean in the bonus chaps of the prequel story pilsang didn't rlly consent.. and the ml seemed like an ass and their interactions just kinda made me uncomfortable..

I get what you mean but in the prequel bonus chaps he kinda seemed like a red flag? And I'm pretty sure he said something abt it not being fun if the get "right to the point". It seemed kinda dub con-y... idk tho it just seemed that way to me

Then pilsang was given that aphrodisiac injection, so he helped him to get relieved or else pilsang would have died! Also in the main story, he mentioned that he used his fingers to do that, and yeah he was a asshole, no doubt for that.

Yep he was kind of yellow flag, even now, he is playing games with pilsang, but pls don't drop it, cuz he does love pilsang, he is yet to realise it, his actions now screams how much he care for pilsang, I'm sure the plot will progress for better soon.

this is generally saddening for people who only rely on the another's perspective to continue just because someone's flag color isn't good at the start. character and story development exists, and this is why majority you see on this comment section is positive. please see for yourself. you won't regret it.

Well, Jooeon isn't exactly a green flag, but I wouldn't call him a red flag either. He definitely has some manipulative businessman tendencies and can be an assh*le at times, but he's still far more decent than a lot of webtoon MLs.

Also, even though he admitted it "wouldn't be fun if he got right to the point", it doesn't change the fact that he still waited until Pilsang was conscious before taking things any further than what was necessary to relieve the heat, and before having s*x with him. The whole premise falls into a pretty gray area because of the heat setting, so people are obviously going to have different opinions on it. But saying he r*ped Pilsang when that's not what happened in the story is simply a false claim.

Jooeon is sure flawed, he can be cold, and he can be a jerk, but "r*pist" is not a fair or factually supported description of his character.

That said, if the premise itself makes you uncomfortable or doesn't align with what you enjoy reading, then yeah, you might just want to drop it. If it was a dealbreaker for you, you probably should've done so earlier, but hey, you can always call it quits now.

Honestly, if someone isn't enjoying the story, it's probably better for them to move on rather than force themselves to continue reading.
They don't have to stick around if the premise isn't to their taste. And if they're no longer engaged with it, then leaving is the better choice rather than making false claims about the characters or events that aren't actually true.
There's no point continuing something you clearly don't enjoy just to end up misunderstanding, misrepresenting, or even unfairly smearing it.

yes i do agree with you on everything but the previous op had a different case where they already concluded not reading just because of the mention of 'yellow flag' which comes with many misunderstandings, right contexts and the progress of the story as a whole.

But they did say they kept reading because Jooeon became sweeter now. From what I understood, what’s still bothering them is the premise of the story and what happened several chapters ago, like in the previous story.
So maybe I misunderstood, but in case I didn't and if they’re still uncomfortable with the foundation of the story itself, then honestly the better choice might be to drop it rather than continue reading something that keeps upsetting them.
