hiii, i’m trying to fulfill a dream i’ve had since i was 15 to make my own webcomic! i just wanna gauge on what tropes to avoid and which tropes people are into these days. i have my own preferences but i’m still stuck lmfao. what’s your favorite trope, and which do you not like or think are over-used? if you have any examples, please share!

second, one trope i really dislike is neglecting side characters or the plot to make the protagonist very op. the story becomes very monotonous then. like "everything depends on the mc now" nope, team work makes the dream work. i prefer seeing a more inclusive approach. makes the story more immersive.
also, comedy! is an essential ingredient to any story! always put in a little silly funny in there. even if its dark humor.

ahh thanks so much!! honestly agree, i love stories that have developed side characters. it helps with world building & i love the different sides they bring out of an mc! also really love flawed mcs. definitely looking to add comedy to my story, thanks so much for your input! <3
when it’s average person x asshole and the average person chases the asshole because they’re so avoidant is so overused. I always think it should be the other way around
