i personally don't recommend.
if you're already pissed by the bark...you'll be fuming with rage in the next chapters.

i, too, tried reading further (just finished ch.24)... but nope.
as someone who studies psychology, i am trying so hard to understand her, but i gave up. just... i can't.

This is beyond being Psychological. This was the strong will to survive for a 10 year old kid, for years to come, against a psychopath of a brother and his underlings. She's the strongest to have to endure all those horrors all those years...(everyone else would have been truly broken by now)...

it's not that i don't understand her traumas & survival mechanism.
it's that *i don't like how the authors writes her character & draws her in the story*.
y'know.. one of it being a traumatized "child" with crooked & inconsistent traits and constantly "serving" her in a sexualized way. (they could've written her character arc & the "healing" parts better imo, but whatever.)

i don't intend to spend my time reading something that constantly pisses me off more than it does me good.
it's simply a matter of preference (that apparently echo in other readers).

She managed to fool everyone around her. Even the readers LOL. To actually stay sane, after being whipped, poisoned. She has a strong mind. She's also have great memories. Since she couldn't talk normally for years, she does had difficulties with speech. But she can recite book lines or imitate sentences she once heard, to express what she wants to say to ML, when discovered. (Later on she can speak normally. As the mother also became her teacher).
The only trauma she have, is the fear of birds and loosing someone dear to her. As her mother and maids all died in front of her as a kid, while the birds are eating her mother.
