This made me up tear up a little bit. I am no mother of actual humans but all my pets thus far have been rescues. I remember when I would first bring them in and they would be terrified I used to sing them lullabies aswell until they fell asleep or calmed down. And I have done the same with them aswell when one of them have passed. So this chapter has hit it really hard for me that it truly was hard and an inconvenience people wouldn't usually go to such lengths but it truly is worth every second of it and I would do it all again in less than a heart beat.
