Oh wow do the anime is different fron the manhua?

I think the author of the manga says it's not shounen ai, but they are baaasicaly married (soul bonded) and kiss like 10 times ╮(￣▽￣)╭

Many fans are upset because they went overboard with the fan service in the anime. Its basically shounen ai based on the amount of moments they have togehter XD the anime is much further than the translations right now

Novel might increase your expectations, manhua is not yet complete I guess, Anime bends the plot- a lot....
I think you should watch season 1 of the anime first, then the manhua...then you can decide to either see the season 2 or read the novel. Coz well best for the last!

Yes the story as a novel is completed and you can read the translation on xiledrebels site.. The manhua is pretty much half-way I'd say.. Besides the novel is tagged as yaoi while the manhua is shounenai so scenes are likely to be cut especially at the end of the story and extras....

The donghua (anime) of MDSZ is not shounen aid due to Chinese censorship laws. The Manhua is technically also restricted by this, but since it’s harder to control a comic than a TV series, it can slip by censorship laws a bit easier.

The creator of the manhua also draw some of the censored scenes, but uploads them separately, hence why you can find these scenes in the manhua, but no the Donghua.

Hope this explains it.
