I never comment but Sorry, I know I act like the MC in real life and maybe it's not a good thing , but honestly, even if I liked the ML, I would’ve still stopped right there after hearing that whole life story because… wtf
Using “my life circumstances” as an excuse for everything, as if other people don’t have their own issues too, is just not it. Like, please, go seek some help cause that's actually what should be talked about here. I relate to the MC way too much, and I absolutely hate liars. You cannot tell me this man didn’t see how badly the MC reacted to lies and everything surrounding them. He was literally sweating and freaking out over it, but somehow because he thinks he’s different or has it worse, his treatment is supposed to be different too? Please, give me a break.
And mind you, he’s ONLY admitting it now because the MC found out himself. He never intended to actually tell him in the first place, and honestly, I find that scary as hell. Like, imagine what else he could’ve been lying about in the future if they hadn’t discovered this themselves.
What frustrates me even more is that the MC has such a strong ideology about honesty and lying for a reason. If he suddenly drops all of that just because he’s in love, without the ML actually making an effort to acknowledge his behavior and find a way to work on it, I’m going to be SO disappointed.
