I don't think she's wary of Shinobu because of their identity/looks but rather she quite literally says it, that Shinobu is a 'man' to her. In her perspective all she sees is a 'man' and warns mc that men are dangerous and will do anything to get close to women, like pretending to be a friendly okama.

No, you are not crazy because that she is acting similar about how a fangirl would act. I mean girl are the real perverts after all not boys since we like boy x boy if you know what I mean ( not all ppl but the ppl on this site is mostly girls espeically since they read yaoi. I mean every tic tok you see of a yaoi thing you see a girl usually. Doesn't mean a boy can, but straight boys don;t usually read boy x boy if you know what I mean. ) Like I mean reading yaoi is kinda the same thing she is doing. And she is also rooting for her brother and his best friend. The only thing that threw me off was one of the last panels where she says he is cute. It kinda gives me mixed feelings but I'm glad his sister supports him instead of being grossed out. I can see why ppl are grossed out though.
