At this point, can you two just communicate? Like, are you actually unable to, or are you just choosing not to see what’s right in front of you? The mutual obsession is so obvious even I can see it, and I’m usually blind to that kind of thing. If that’s not the case, then at least say something. Why are you both so afraid to talk? I get the fear of rejection, but come on without risk, you get nothing. He’s been showing you all the signs. He went along with your ridiculous marriage plan, chose you over every other option, and even refused anything that would make it seem like money had something to do with it. That says a lot. He’s not cruel maybe reserved, but he clearly cares. So why are you acting like communication is illegal? I love you, but this is getting dragged out for no reason.
You could’ve just talked even said I love you way earlier. Yes, maybe it wouldn’t be as dramatic… but at least we wouldn’t be suffering like this.
Please let him go. You both seriously need some time apart to realize what you have, because you've been taking each other way too much for granted.
