Haven’t seen anyone theorize (probably because it’s pretty obvious), but i’m guessing, although it was pretty much told to us, that yang il came to this town to solve or rather avenge someone close to him who might have been killed by baekhee’s dad (either that or we’ll get the misunderstanding/confusing trope where we’ll find out later on that the person was not killed by baekhee’s dad but someone else)
