Unfortunately jaekyung's actions were insane and awful before the chase arc but honestly if it was any other character whos actions werent so awful this groveling would have been sooooo good
I think for me Beware the Ides of March had a longer chasing arc and the uke actually did a little pay back for the hurt he went through, unlike others that just brush it aside. You should read it if you haven't.

The ghosts are staring to get scarier and scarier as the chaoters go on, like idk now theyre tapping into a sort of this thing has features that could be normal but something is very very wrong, the previous ones have kinda been just scary bc its scary. Am i making sense? Probably not but i will only be touching this manga in broad daylight from now on

I’ve read fucked up shit in previous accounts so tbh it’s not even the rape for me, but it’s just that the story tries so desperately to be deeper than it actually is, and it’s embarrassing to read, specially coming from such a popular author!! It makes me desperate to see Kim Dan bc he NEVER stood up for himself, like, he’s worse than freaking Nakyum from painter of the night, who at least some times complained and shouted to the top even in a more dangerous situation. And the top is just so emotionally immature- it’s like he got stuck being a kid with a lot of money!! But the main reason this is trash for me is bc of how seriously the story takes itself when it’s so absurd :/
