Idk y’all. We’re still all people who feel jealous and insecure and don’t handle situations appropriately 100% of the time, if characters didn’t have flaws there would be no story.
I don't think people aren't upset because the characters are flawed. Flawed characters make for interesting stories. The issue is that the story included sexual assault when it wasn't necessary. The conflict and emotional impact would have worked just as well without it, so it feels like the SA was used for shock value while its impact was downplayed.

Feeling jealous and insecure doesn't make rape understandable. Ml is just a fucking piece of shit who is okay raping someone. He only apologized because mc cried while he was penetrating him by force, not because he thought what he was doing was wrong.

Can't edit so i'm answering my own comment : my bad it wasn't rape, after looking back closely I just couldn't tell the two lightsabers appart. They used the same sfx as penetration and the lightsabers look like one ffs. But it was my bad.
