When you say ML... do you mean Machine Learning?? Skills you might earn by doing things by your own and through tutorials and practice. But maybe having a degree related to it will help too since many companies like shaping students to their own needs while studying. I'd say... you are so much stronger and weaker than you think and knowing it is the first step to find the tools to deal with it. It's not your fault that you weren't loved by those who should have make you feel safe... but you'll find your shelter and your home inside yourself.
