Is this chapter supposed to make readers sympathize with ml? He kinda seems like a brat! Grew up with a superiority complex, damn how sad
He was a child and his feelings were valid, so was the older brother’s feelings back then. Jaeyi grew up but the supposed older brother clearly didn’t and still holds a grudge and see everything as a competition. And that’s their parent’s fault and failure.
And it’s not only jaeyi who grew up with a superiority complex(tho i don’t think he has one), the brother is too.
Its primarily the brother w a touch of victim complex too
We haven't really seen the brothers POV to know if he's actually competitive or holding a grudge? So far that's just Jaeyi's perception and he could be an unreliable narrator since he seems so envious. To me it just seemed like curiosity from the older brother until I see otherwise
Ngl I do feel bad for Ml he was pushed over by his parents because his older brother was ill. Yeah I understand that they needed to be there for his older brother but you can see how rude the older brother was towards him and you can see ml didn’t mean to break the toy or anything he was just upset and annoyed because it was his birthday.
He was on his own half the time and now his brothers back and is taking away someone that the ml wants. Though I dunno if he exactly wants mc or not tbh

He does it in the novel too. He panics more, Also slaps him a couple of times trying to wake him up. But in the novel he doesn’t leave his side until a little breathing sound comes out of Taekjoo’s mouth. the tone is different in the manhwa, it’s more shallow. So far thru the entire thing, they didn’t portray what’s happening inside the characters especially Zhenya. :(
