I used to get dressed up and doordash with the hopes of finding a rich guy that would take me in. I didnt have a place to go or any family so this was a cool story that resonated with me. A bit violent but I liked how it turned out. Still could have been longer tho..
The Espers exist for no reason. There are no monsters. No gates. No dungeons. Nothing. The Espers barely show or use their powers. The guides also exist for no reason. They dont have powers either.
Their guiding ability doesnt exist. They're just regular people and the espers feel better around them because... ? The guides dont have any type of guiding technique. They dont have any ability to use their guiding powers.
Everyone is just walking around being 1% magical. Might as well have just written a regular non magic story.
Dungeon and monster isnt necessary in guideverse. They can use their power for natural disaster, accident, war, any crime. People with power can live a normal life. Eventually there will be villain with power and they can use their power for that too
Just like omegaverse, guideverse system is different in different hands (re: authors). This story is leaning to soulmate type of connection, hence the mark on their backs
While esper is also admired here, the guide and esper actually struggled more because of the matching thing. Which makes it look like being guide and esper isnt all beneficial, theres more of disadvantage in the system than just esper needing guide energy. For me that gives more flavour to guideverse
I'm on ch 47 and the ML has tried to spare the MC two times already and tried to place him somewhere safe. So far he has been shown to spare as many people as he can and even some of his enemies he didn't kill but left them alive.
Not a good man but as good a man as he can be in his situation. Am I missing something cuz the MC seem to be a bit of the villain here.
I think you can be a victim of your circumstances and still be a villain in other people’s stories. Just because scarred dude is doing the best he can given his circumstances, doesn’t mean he can’t be seen as evil by the MC. He did kill his father and his family after all. Even if it was out of scar dudes control, feeling anger because of that isn’t unjustified. Just my pov… and MC wanting revenge isn’t unjustified either. I would say they were even for a bit as bad people. But after scar guy locked him up and repeatedly raped and beat him ehhh I have to say scar guy is back to the villain imo but that’s how you know this is well written. There’s so much nuance.
