She was playing him at first. She knew the real daughter would eventually return , so she made someone fall completely in love with her only to abandon him later.
Even if there was an assumption that he would eventually fall for the real daughter (not counting they monster possession situation), Tha still doesn't justify it. After allá, she was afecting the timeline.
Even if it was for survival, playing with someone's feelings it's not something trivial. There are people who literally die after their hearts are broken.
So, destroying someone emotionally like that, Even if unintentionally, shouldn't be treated lightly.
