I always see overhyped BL question/topic here at least once a week and it's funny coz they always have the same answers and all if not most are saying painter of the night, Love is an illusion, love or hate, killing stalking, obey me, etc. They're all either psycho themed or has discussed abusive behaviors of a character. I mean, it's obviously not your cup of tea but just because you don't like it doesn't mean everyone else don't like it.
I'd agree with Obey me being stupid tho. Like it's a downgrade version of Killing Stalking and/or warehouse.
For the other manhua's I've mentioned, despite having abusive characters, one reason why there's a hype is because of how the writers allow the characters to develop and change. Whether it be for the better or worst, that depends on the story line and plot. And it's rather very interesting to see how everything unfolds instead of just a typical love story where two people fall and love and shit.
