I’m a bit conflicted on this because yes, it’s bad TL etiquette to mess with the reader’s immersion, but I think the people here are a little too comfortable being rude and demanding to someone who’s paying for the chapters with their own money and translating it on unpaid time. People are allowed to criticize you for making corny jokes, but frankly, whether you continue making the jokes or not is completely up to you. If they really feel so strongly about it, they can wait for the official tl, I guess. Plus, the same people being weirdly aggressive are the first to cry at you for leaving them high and dry for a fucking DAY because translating takes time. There’s a difference between entitlement and constructive criticism.
