Dude, I've read the raws up to the 27th chapter and let me tell you, I feel SO bad for how people here utterly hate Heejoo (you fujos need to STOP hating every woman in yaoi, it's toxic) and Yuri.
SPOILERS AHEAD:
In the 26th chapter, Jiri goes to Yuri's place and they have a talk, he sees Yuri cry, he talks a bit about his ongoing depression, about his feelings of emptiness, and Yuri finally opens up to tell his side of the story.

Heejoo's parents (Yuri's aunt and uncle, apparently), died in a car crash. By the looks of her, she seemed to be in junior high maybe, so not that much older than him. It's shown that Yuri's sister sees him as a pest, and his mom treats him like a nuisance, actually telling a 10 year old kid he's being annoying. When they were at Heejoo's parent's funeral, he was outside in the snow freezing his hands off out of frustration, and Heejoo looked out for him, took him inside, made sure he had supper, and just made him company.
I don't think it's a weird, incestuous love, but a love for the only person who ever showed any kindness to him aside from his best friend. Since he's never been loved before, he doesn't even know how to distinguish between the types of love there are. He grew up in a disfuncional, abusive home, and as someone who grew up in that same situation, I can tell you that we grow fucked up in different ways.
Are his actions justified just because he went through emotional abuse? No, but he doesn't deserve the hate either. Hope he grows more as a character and can see that he's not the only one who's gone through hardships in life.
I forgot to add something important: what made him start feeling the way he did was her unmatchable kindness. She was there trying to make him some company while looking tired and with swollen eyes out of crying so much, at her own parent's funeral. This girl is (as far as the story has been progressing) nothing but a lovely human being, stop hating on her for no reason.
I don't think anyone deserves hate but trying to play off his behavior isn't either. I don't think his past can justify the way he is behaving entirely. I'm really hoping for redemption for yuri.

Honestly, I am too. I went through abuse for most of my life and didn't end up like him, but as I said, we all come fucked up in one way or another when we don't grow up in a good place.
I think he'll have his redemption, but it'll take a while for him to change his shitty personality.
Also, I hope he and Jiri don't become a couple right after Yuri asks for forgiveness, I'd like to see them becoming friends and healing together.
Thanks for this. He remind me of Chowon. They both feel like no one wants them so they also push people away violently out of uncontrollable hate and anger. They both ended up loving the only people that showed them kindness too much. They're both holding on to their hope of being loved back by that person. They also end up using violence in order to keep that person's attention. They are lost, no place to belong to. They seem to be seeking that very place they belong to but at the same time grew tired of it. Actually, like Kyungsoo, Jiri has this kind, passive / tolerant, understanding and forgiving attitude that could take down the walls of these broken duo. Jiri's just broken as well so it'll surely take time for this pair to work out but surely it's worth the read.
In an ideal world, they'd either never date each other, or wait until they heal and can run into each other again. Since this is BL we're talking about, I'm 99% sure they'll end up together just looking at the dynamic they've been having up to the 27th chapter, so I hope they actually grow up more, mature more, and heal/go to therapy. I LIVE for BL where those topics are taken seriously and the toxic couple actually "detoxifies" after getting together.

This manga gives us a very, very slow, but sweet and nice burn. It's currently confirmed for its sixth volume, though the release date for the 30th chapter has been delayed due to the mangaka dealing with health issues, but it was originally scheduled for the 17th of december, 2018. I've followed since its third volume came out and I'd really like that it gets picked by a good scanlation group because not too many people outside of japan know it.
