ok theres a difference between a r*pe fantasy and actual dark fiction. dark fiction is well written, or at th very least has some type of motive / plot / goal that drives the story forwards, you dont connect with either of the characters, his financial status wouldve been a good way to kickstart that but no its just used to call demean or make fun or light of it, and ur expected to emotionally connect with main character, who is rich, classist, a cheater, and abusive ? and we get no other ways of seeing her in a different light or to sympathize with her outside of just her being an awful person and shown being stressed occasionally.. because shes an awful person.

this is a pretty old one i think, the mc is female and can read minds, and she encounters many people with her abilities and has to stop them. theres a scene when she’s ln the train and she knows a disaster is coming, she sees a boy that also has powers, and she reads his mind and finds out he can see the future. she ends up adopting him im pretty sure, or something of the sort

okay it was pretty obvious that yoshiki felt something for the former hikaru, and i always thought thats why he accepted the fake one or tried to because it was like a remnant of his old love, but that description of having someone to confide in that doesnt care (or even understand) how human values (aka homophobia in this instance) works, actually opened my eyes to their dynamic a lot more. i really liked that a lot

my personal opinion on the matter is that i think the ml shouldve just murdered the mc atp, like i genuinely would prefer that over any of this, and especially with how far the novel goes with this. clearly its not just revenge, the ml feels something for the mc that i cant explain as anything else other than a twisted romantic sense, or ownership. he wants the mc to stay with him WILLINGLY, not just forcing it, which is the exact opposite of if he were just doing it for revenge, is it not? because wouldnt you rather them suffering every moment of it, rather than enjoying being by your side ?
anyways, i get that this is someones thing, and its psychological, but i dont know. the whole thing with the dog and the pads and stuff really grossed me out

i cant help but think she’s in the exact situation with etienne now that she was with noah. a marriage she doesn’t want, and the fact he’s talking about kids when she clearly doesn’t even want to be near him
i wouldve preferred this story without romance but i really expected the magician to be the male lead i dont know why. also, im pretty sure mio has feelings for her based off of the ending but i really loved their dynamic in the early - mid stages when it was more like siblings, and she literally told him he is what she’d want in a brother
