Hell is not real. Hell is just a thing that keeps everyone in line from doing bad things. If no one believes in Hell everyone would go crazy and they won't fear anyone or anything. I think you understand what I'm trying to say here.
It's not he'll itself. It's the insiriurion, the church, that keeps people in line. Without hell, people would still have rules set by institutioms to conform to, like the government. Even our ancestors had non-religoous institutions, but more hierarchical based.
