So is the emperor sleeping with the empress or the goddess? In my understanding, there are almost like 2 people inside golds body, her own conciousness and the goddess who fulfills wish. In the last panel, I feel like it's not gold but the goddess so I don't understand it. The atmosphere is different. And who's blood was that, does Gold witness them killing someone and just doesn't care about it???
Ps I'm not sure about the empress name, I remember it as Gold in mtl

I think Ronan is using Ayna/Gold but at the same time, he does love her so much that he doesn't want Ayna to give birth to their children because he knows that giving birth is a life risking, chance of surviving is usually less than 50 percent.
But it seems that the decision that Ronan will make in the future is misinterpreted by Ayna, so Ayna dies leaving a grudge against Ronan. Cmiiw ╮(￣▽￣)╭
This is my interpretation: Ronan love ayna so much, He love her so much he will do anything to keep her alive and with him..but fate play them, ayna will die on the hand of one of her children. Fate told Ronan and make him choose which he obviously choose to kill the sons..

I know the characters didn't end up very happy but they know that they have matured one way or another and I think that's a good thing. They're young, many things can happen and they need this lessons so that they could continue growing. I can't say the same about Etsuko tho, I didn't see much character development from her. Regardless, I still love how the author laid everything out, I was really hooked.
I only give 5 stars to story i really like so when I saw there were official updates I was excited to reread (i forgot almost 90% of the story at this point), and lo and behold, I don't like it anymore:(( Taste do change with time
