what we know is because we READ his fucking story, his feelings, his thoughts but Byul doesn’t have any of that, he doesnt really know how hard his mom had when he had him, he has no dimension of it
he knows he hurt his mom and he feels really bad about it, but he doesn’t know how much because he only has the basics for it
and honestly as an undesirable child myself, even tho my mom is practically like Byuls mom just showing her care in another way, i still feel from time to time like i was a mistake and shouldnt be there
that eats you away and becomes a trauma later in life, because you will forever know they didn’t want you even tho they came to love you
that DOES NOT take away his blame for making ties with that fuckass grandma and even comparing her leaving to him originally not wanting him, but just gives you some perspective to his actions, like maybe he had that thought eating him away for years before and exploded at that moment because thats how trauma works
