It's frustrating when the cousins get pissed off because she meets powerful people... they really should be asking their own parents why they are awful at making good friends to introduce them to. Yeon's father has an honorable reputation and served the community a lot, that's why she gets to meet the big shots.
Also, I hope Riri gets a redemption arch, she's clearly trying to get closer to Yeon, and its her parents fault that her personality is so bad... lordie, these poor kids...
Please tell me the husband is not the ML, because if he’s being “stolen” left and right, he’s spineless. Given the likely era issues and power disbalances, it makes sense that women would have limited choices, but god (and modern authors) please stop normalizing men being idealized for showing interest only after witnessing what a woman has to become to protect herself from assholes… (I’m probably jumping to conclusions, but the patterns are irritating)
