I think I gonna dropping.
sure the suspense is good, but is fucking up my anxiety.
I know is just a story, but I am freaking the shit out of my head.
My heart is racing like a horse in a fucking race when I get in the end..WTF.. Holy shit
In that case, it's probably really best if you do drop it, at least for now. After all, there are plenty of wonderful works around that are not this stressful. And if you feel like it, you could always come back to check later once it's finished? (At least for me, looking at the ending first or at least reading spoilers usually helps if a story is making me overly anxious).
Thanks for the support. I commented because I thought I was losing my mind, but the truth is now that I've calm down I realized why I got triggered. A week ago I losed my dad to covid. And maybe seeing how the seme play with people lives like they were ants, maybe that helped to triggered my anxiety. So was a combination of stressful events. but anyways I'm fine now, and thanks to make me realize i wasn't getting nuts just because I freak out a little with the story. thank you guys
Oh no, I'm so sorry to hear that. I am so, so sorry for your loss. I know how that feels, and it's perfectly normal that you may feel easily upset over even the smallest things, especially if the grief is still this fresh. Just try to treat yourself to some really nice, optimistic, fluffy stuff and avoid anything dramatic or sad for now. In my experience, the right kind of optimistic works can even actually help make you feel better instead of worse by taking you away to a "different dimension" for a little bit. And just try to spend a lot of time with your other loved ones and just be with them and don't think of anything else. Again, I'm really sorry this happened to you and your family.
I wish you all the best. Remember you're not alone ⊂(◉‿◉)つ
I just saw this now and want to say I'm so so so very sorry for your loss. I cannot even begin to imagine how you are feeling right now. Stay strong but dont feel like you cant feel sad. It's good to really get a cry out, the pressure of trying to keep it together is always so hard. I'll be thinking and praying for you. One day at a time, you got this. Its definitely not easy but I know you can navigate through such a stressful event. I hope you will be okay. Worst thing is to really suppress your emotions about how you feel, be open with yourself when you are ready. Once again so sorry love, condolences to you and your family.

I see a bunch of comments saying, "Oh, if they just sat down and talked, a lot of things would be resolved." Are you serious? Ah, you guys are dreaming, right? Ever since he was a kid, the only things Shuraka has ever known are betrayal and murder. The kid spent years sleeping poorly out of fear of being killed. Then he was "forced" to get married, and through a shady move (because the king couldn't send his daughter), they sent a man much older than him in an attempt to defend themselves, but also with a 25% intent to humiliate him. He falls in love because of the care the guy shows him, while also being terrified of the guy getting killed—since he was his only vulnerability, the one person who actually cared for and worried about him. He spends years having to kill his father, mother, stepmothers, brothers, sisters-in-law, concubines, and nephews.
And then we have Tei, who had to marry a child. Right at the beginning, he already proves he's a lone wolf by living all by himself in that mansion, harboring deep resentment and questioning his parents' choices. I find it strange that you guys think they just have a "communication problem." Their story is literally designed to have this issue. What we should actually notice is how well-written and well-grounded this story is. Even with few chapters, it’s really not going to have a slow burn, and it’s more than natural that Tei, being the older one, has that active voice to guide certain aspects of the relationship to some extent. Even though Shuraka is older now at this point in the story, he is still years younger than Tei, meaning he has less experience than Tei would have. Plus, Tei has been in relationships before, while Tei is Shuraka's very first relationship. So yeah, I don't get people's complaints.
Add on the factor that they're marriage *is* a political marriage. Tei still sees himself to be married off for political reasons—which got cemented by the fact that he was sent back to Leracal by Shuraka, where they also DID NOT have a lick of communication, only one sided monitoring through Mushnu for Shuraka—half believes Shuraka's feelings for him is sincere, but he also met Shuraka as a *child*. So Tei is skeptical whether his husband is dependent on him because he was Shuraka's faithful guardian for a short period, or it's because his feelings are purely romantic.
And it's obviously the latter rooted from the former. And not just a simple sitting down and discussing it will make it, because they both have their own misconceptions about each other—which is VERYYYY clearly shown already. They can, and WILL think the other is only doing their marital obligations as an obligation and not as an act of love because of those misconceptions
So Tei's forceful approach is actually effective for breaking down Shuraka's walls, but there's still a lot of things to be cleared out between them.
