If you don't get any updates past that time you have to check the series you read are in the "subscribed" category
You sure you have added them To your “reading “ list ?
I think they only notify you once day. At least in my case it's like that. Mostly somehere around 12 o'clock. Everything that's getting updated after I got the notification, is shown in the notification of the next day.
P.S.: You don't get notifications for mangas, that are in your "want to read" list.
