You know what? Even though this is super sad and depressing, it's also kind of refreshing how realistic is. Not everyone gets a happy ending and most fiction stories make sure almost every character ends up happy, especially the main characters. So getting a story where the main character has an illness and actually dies in the end is something I can appreciate. Sometimes it can be nice when fictional stories have realistic endings.
