Why do they always make the bottom feel pain at first but then a small moment of "pleasure" when theyre literally getting raped

    JustANobodyBro April 24, 2024 6:14 am

It's actually a natural reaction of the body.
It has happened to many victims of rxpe. (Women) have had this moment. It's violence and it hurts, it feels disgusting and horrible. But the body naturally responds to it. Is not that they like it, they hate it and reject it, but the inside part of the body doesn't differentiate it so it just reacts to the stimulation.

To add onto this. It's also the body's self preservation technique. When getting forced, your body does what it has to to minimize damage and "get it over with". Some r*pe victims feel guilty that their best or only *rgasm was when r*ped. Your body just does what it needs to in order to get things over with as fast as possible. My guess is that when your logical side is traumatized and paralyzed, your instincts take over to make sure you aren't hurt more than you need to be.

And to extra add on. This ends up causing classic case of Stockholm if it goes on long enough. The body gets used to it which tricks the mind into thinking it "likes it". Humans have very strong adaptability. And when things get hard, we just learn to relax, accept, and deal with our new "normal". Not that it should ever be considered normal. This is just the phycology behind it all

Thank you for educating! I also appreciate more people being aware of these facts.

But after thinking about it a bit, I will also have to agree with OP slightly. Most of the reason this is done in novels is to sexualize r*pe which is 100% a thing to be frustrated and angry about. I doubt many novel authors are aware of the realism and phycology behind this, if they were, than MC and ML would NOT get together at the end of the book. These authors are just using these situations as smut and drama.

I do appreciate when I rarely find a series that takes r*pe seriously. Heck I don't mind the r*pe, I mind how fast the MC decides he's fine with it in many books (sometimes just 2 pages after the fact, like what?!?). I'd love to see r*pe more realistically showcased, with all the trauma and lifelong fear it causes. The gravity it deserves as the heinous crime it is. (I am a sucker for good overcoming trauma arcs, and internal conflicts though). But I feel like when it is used in books, it's often treated lightly and quickly forgiven >:(

    I completely understand that.
I feel like it is also some part of our fuked up brains that are so used to gross works, that have already become used to it and "normalize " it.

Take as an example "booktok girlies", women that read straight books about "dark romance" and men who kidnap, abuse and mistreat women and then "slowly" fall in love. Whether it is some alien sht, mafia, gangsters, masked men, whatever.
They like to read that and get either aroused, excited, in other words they love it.
(Just like us, we like the thrill of it.)
However, they all agree that in reality, that's is some fuked up shat, and that if they were to ever encounter someone like that, they would immediately run to get away from this type of situation as fast as they could.
My best guess is that, since we know that is fiction, we don't really mind what is going on with the characters. Since we know no one is getting hurt, abused, etc, we are somewhat ok with it. Just like movies, we know those monsters aren't real, so they can't hurt us.
    That's why we are ok.
Now, if we knew that something is real and is actually happening, the big community that we are, and many more would do something about it. Some would physically do movements, and others do as much as we can by sharing on social media, educating and showing support.
So I guess it is also part of our fuked up brains

Our bodies are so amazing! You can't even imagine what some organs do to others, or that your brain is capable or "killing" you in order to preserve itself ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
