Situation wise it's went downhill, plot wise it's getting towards the climax and reaching the point where things will start to resolve itself (imo at least). It's toxic, manipulative, rape and imprisonment (not a spoiler, it was shown in the very first chapters).
If u want, read like 2 or 3 of the recentish chapters and see how you fare.
I don't regret starting reading this manhwa. Started at s1. Is it getting better? Same as all manhwas plot lol, it's a mess, but I have read worst, so far its ok. The art is really pretty though.
