I'm reading the novel and it's so good. Better than manhwa.

The characters' development is completely different. Vanessa is fierce, outside the box — the very reason Theodore is interested in her — and determined to create a scandal. But she's also a young woman naturally interested in sex.

Theodore is smart: he makes cold, calculating moves before giving in to temptation, even though he wants to.

The smut scenes in the novel are well written — you can sense the sexual tension between the two of them.

In the manhwa these scenes are missing and everything feels too sudden and boring. Despite the art, the manhwa doesn't do justice to the novel.

In the novel Vanessa's first time took 3 whole chapters. And it's a chef's kiss IMO. The scene really helps you understand Theodore's personality and manners. And it'simportant because for the very first time he is dragged from her. The manhwa shows just a few panels and Theodore seems more flustered than Vanessa, who seems to have taken the lead

where are we in the novle?

Elleci June 18, 2026 12:56 pm

I love this manhwa because it tackles mental illness from a different POV. Anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts… the omegaverse is just the setting where these topics play out.

And the Omega ML? He's not your typical weak guy who cries every time the Alpha gets close.

He's physically strong, even if mentally fragile — and the Alpha doesn't dominate him. This manhwa is genuinely outside the box.

Elleci June 17, 2026 9:00 pm

Or maybe a kind of it?... the ML is not reincarnated, just the second ML and the FL?

Elleci June 17, 2026 7:50 am

We always have to consider the context in which the ML grew up. His childhood was deeply traumatic (he killed his father, after that he killed her mother in front of Herdin's eyes). Nobody would go near him because he was cursed — Delmark's curse.
Nobody except his aunt, who was eventually murdered, hypothetically from Blair's mother. A dead that left him completely alone, carrying the entire burden of his house on his own shoulders at just thirteen years old.

He's then forced to marry the daughter of the woman he despises most—his uncle's mistress. That daughter was present when his aunt died and never told anyone what had happened. For years, both he and his entire house believed that Blair was protecting her mother through her silence. Ten years of that —almost half his life. He simply doesn't know how to express his emotions.

He's deeply traumatized, has severe trust issues, and struggles to socialize or rely on other people. So no, he obviously can't be considered a green flag.

That said, he loves her. Deeply. Despite her family, and despite everyone around him telling him to leave her and marry someone else (because, in truth, neither his vassals nor anyone in House Delmark wants her there), he never gives in.

He defends her even when she runs away while pregnant. Even when rumors spread that she had been cheating on him with other men.
No matter what people say about her, he refuses to turn against her. He keeps protecting her reputation and standing by her side, even when everyone around him thinks she's betrayed him and gives him every reason to abandon her. That's one of the reasons I wouldn't call him trash. His loyalty to her is unwavering.

The problem is that his love isn't always healthy. It's often driven by trauma, fear of loss, and obsession, which can make him possessive and emotionally overwhelming.

So while he's unquestionably devoted to her, that devotion doesn't automatically make him a green flag.

I know dar. I've read some comments from people saying they're not interested in Herdin's past or in the reasons behind his behavior. I honestly think that's a shame, because the novel clearly makes an effort to show what turned Herdin into the cold man he is. It tries to explain why he makes the mistakes he does —not to excuse them, but to put them into context.

Personally, I think ignoring his past means missing a significant part of his character. Understanding where his flaws come from doesn't require condoning his actions; it simply allows you to see him as a more complete and human character.

I also find the lack of interest in his backstory somewhat lacking in empathy. Refusing to engage with that aspect of the story can make the character feel flatter than the author intended.

And we have 2 kids ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭...

7 / 10 years is not a huge gap dude. And not all countries have the same laws. Date a 17yo when you're 24s is not a big problem, IMO.

    TacobellDestroyer123 June 16, 2026 5:00 am

Not judging but why not marriage if you have 2 kids that’s technically your baby daddy. Also in whatever country 17 and 24 is still weird imo. 17 you’re still a kid and think like a kid and do immature shit where 24-25 is where your mind truly matures and you start becoming an adult so it’s kind of weird especially considering what type of job he does too.

I don't like get marriage! Easy! Btw from my POV even at 24yo you are young and immature... date doesn't mean that they will be together for the rest of their life. They can easily break up. But if he doesn’t use his age, job or position to convince her to date him, why not?

Yeah but it is still weird because form the ages of 17-24 that’s a whole 7 years where you grow. The mentality of a 17 year old and a 24 year old is not the same at all and that is a known fact. To date someone so much older with such a maturity difference will actually affect that 17 year old in ways whether you’d like it or not. There ages in such an influential and growing stage of life. So it would be weird to date someone like that’s. She isn’t even of age “18” if you wanted to bring up the legal factor in this too. I also think the age gap shouldn’t depend on wtvr country it is but if it is morally right or not. It would be easy to date him but the decisions you made when you were 17 would obviously change and once if they did break up that would be a waste of time and exploring for that 17 year old. Lowk taking away their adult stages of growing if u ask me. I do also want to say this. I also don’t know the relationship between you and your boyfriend but if you do have kids it would be more beneficial to get married. Since being married gives you way more protections if you were to have kids (which you do) rather than not being married. Because once u are under a legal document if something were to go wrong there are laws for whatever reason. Yet without marriage you are lowk thugging it by yourself if something did go wrong. But that’s just what I think, if you are still not down for marriage that’s ur choice.

Am I the only one sick of the ML's possessiveness? Don't do this, don't go out, pick up when I call… gosh… he wants to control Yeomin, piling rules and lies on him. And the author tries to convince us that he did everything out of love. This is not love! I hope Yeomin takes scholarships money and goes away from that house. He deserves a better life without boundaries.

Elleci June 14, 2026 12:07 pm

the end. I mean, it's a smut manhwa so there are obviously a bunch of panels with sex scenes — the plot is just there to justify them. He's a vulgar, sex-addicted thug. She's a pushover. The art really helps you enjoy it. But in the side stories everything feels cringe and he's not just a thug in heat anymore — now he's also a father. He needs to understand he can't do whatever he wants, wherever he wants. He whines like a toddler just because she says no. He can't wait. He wants it, he takes it. No matter what, no matter where. I can't stand him — but also her.

Winston and Keith move in the same circle and know each others. Keith has a cameo in this story. Yeonwoo will get to know Yujin in the extras.
Spence and Angie will later become friends in Kindergarten.
In a KML extra, not adapted to manhwa so far, she is a guest at Yeonwoo's babyshower invited by Spence, spending time with Spence, Pete, and Cecil. They are still small children. And she develops a crush on married adult: Josh.lol

Yes, also in the extras that were not adapted. Yeonwoo gets pregnant and wants to keep the child no matter what. While Keith isn't happy about it, because of the difficulties Yeonwoo had giving birth to Spence. During his pregnany he has a craving for cookies (the one before it was pudding), so he refers to the unborn child as "cookie"
