This story isn’t terrible like some comments are portraying, it’s just not a romance—it’s a horror.

You should be reading this as a psychological horror instead of a romance story, because if you do this is genuinely such a great story. If you’re here for romance you’re going to be disappointed and disgusted.

Don’t give up on this story because a few people from TikTok left a comment how they’re disappointed that it isn’t how it was portrayed in edits. The writing is genuinely so good if you enjoy moral conflict and horror.

Just a warning to anyone who might be worried about non-con, I’ve read over 75 chapters of the novel and this story’s romance dynamic is pretty rough. Every single sex scene is non-con or coercive in some way, and if the bottom is not actively trying to fight back, he’s thinking about how disgusted he is by the act the entire time. It’s… pretty brutal. There are several scenes where the MC is drugged or drunk and he tries to physically fight back against the ML’s advances but is too weak. Also, almost every sex scene with penetration is described as brutally painful for the bottom too.

Just thought I’d mention it because I know this bothers some people.
