They literally did. They're novels, but there is a Saeki Sayaka spinoff series.

It's cute but I ended up kind of shipping Gou with the playboy

Good up until the whole rape part. I don't get why that trope is so popular.

I'm tired of reading this kind of comments cuz seo isn't just a bystander, he's honest with his feelings and he also doesn't want to be left hanging

But hey, he wasn’t raped right? Akira slapped him and woke him up from his conscience. So it was more of a rape attempt than rape (I’m not trying to justify it but I’m just saying it as is) besides it’s a buildup plot (and drama for the both of them until they fuck again)

But the exactly it. You’re excusing it with this very explanation. The point what real relevance would raping or attempting to rape someone have in having your love be returned by an unrequited love interest. It changes absolutely nothing. It’s just lazy shock value. And at worse heightens the uke’s point all the more not deepen their relationship. The fact that the author has chosen attempting to rape someone the logical step in gaining that person’s love is the very definition of romanticized rape. This author has a previous work that romanticizes manipulation and coercion as well as it’s no surprise that they’d fall back on this trope. It’s saddening because they all have one other manga that’s truly good from start to finish so not is this a disappoint it just shows the prevalence of sexual violence being standard to yaoi and an almost requirement of every author to utilize at some point in their artistic career

Wow phone typos are a bitch.

This concept could be really interesting if it's pulled off extremely well, but I don't know if this author can do that.

BlueRitsu May 3, 2019 4:37 am

This is really cute but I'm worried about the senpai the seme keeps mentioning

BlueRitsu April 18, 2019 5:14 am

It'd be one thing if the drama was actually interesting, but at this point it's all unnecessary and a drag to read.
