I don't know why everyone hates the sister. I actually read some of the comments beforehand and was expecting a much more horrible person. Aside I really like this manga because I don't feel like anyone person is really bad. I think every character kind of has a complex, including the elder sister. I mean I sympathize with her in my own way, as I do with the other characters. She had fake friends, and on top of that, her own sister saying "I hate you". And just bc some dude liked her sister over her? Mind you, she didn't lead this guy on or anything. I mean, that's fucked. If your close relative or even someone you adored said that, wouldn't you be hurt? And here's this guy, your only friend, the only person you've been able to depend on is interested in someone else. Even when you couldn't depend on your own sister bc she hated you out of jealousy, this guy was there for you. I mean yea, any normal person would feel threatened. Sister or not. I mean, even from the get she was so happy her sister was talking to her again, she wanted to protect it. And even after that, she was confused about the situation bc she doesn't know that Katoaka refused Sora. So she felt like a protective friend to me seeing he may have feelings for her sister. Now I'll admit I don't know what she's going to say or what she's planning for the next chapter. But I don't view her as a bad person. I think the relationships between the characters is complicated. Which made me enjoy the story. You always have these formulaic stories in Shoujo...but for the first time I didn't necessarily hate anyone...but I'm definitely curious to see how it plays out.
I completely agree! I've always thought that the "popular" or "favored" kids in the family have it harder then the shadows because if you do one thing wrong, everyone around you is dissapointed. On the other hand the shadows can do whatever they want (sure the dont get noticed but neither do they get upset, or disappointed .
The problem I had w/ the sister was that she didn't seem to have any interest in the guy who MC likes (but he liked the sister), but now after her sister met the captain she seems interested, granted (been a while since I read) she probably didn't know who her sister liked. if she had liked captain from the start I wouldn't have minded as much.
It's clear you have not read further... you think the older sister is pitiful, woe is me... I'm sad that I;m so pretty everyone hates me, including my younger sister. Okay, the older sister clearly doesn't like the main guy that much because, duh, she gets a boyfriend other than him.... but now that she knows her younger sister likes him, as well, she turns possessive and wants now to take him away from her younger sister. That's "dog in the manger" attitude ( I don't want you , but I don't want anyone to get you, either. ) . That's being a bitch, and no wonder the younger sister doesn't like her... the older sister is a " fake "
fangirl scream* my heart just burst into a million pieces.
