Here's where the entire premise of the story is about to fall apart. What is Wein's whole goal? To be overthrown so he doesn't have to work anymore. His very intelligent classmate of good character who likes and respects Wein just offered his entire goal, the driving force of the plot, on a silver platter
But we know he will say no because reasons.
Which will break the story and throw out the premise.

Has there ever been an FL who didn't trip on nothing? I don't know why but the trope annoys me every time I see it.

I guess it annoys you cuz it's over used, or mb cuz you don't really stumble yourself so it feels too unrealistic

I can be fairly clumsy but differently so. It's just overused. I think I've consumed too much slop I can only see the reused frame now and not what's on it. I need a detox.

I agree that it’s overused. But the stories who have the accidental trip look actually accidental, make it natural enough to not look corny. Personally I like the way the author made her trip: it showed she was clearly focused on something actually interesting—Isidore not having gloves—and that she was a few steps into the stairs before actually tripping. It’s unique to have these details
