Tbh I expected this. It's common plot twist with japanese mangas since 10 years ago, lol this gives away my age, so honestly I'm not surprised.
Sooner or later he will know the truth after all. I'm on nobody side but simply a reader who waits for things to unfold. There's a reason behind each character's actions and effects in the present and future... But I agree I hate how it feels short each update then again this is how lezhin milks its authors.
