I think it's because she believes bc of her "sins" of the past she's undeserving of love. She's trying to distance herself from Cedric to give him a chance to develope and deepen his feelings for Lysia believing everything must turn out how it should've been in the past had she not schemed for her Brother. Sadly she's ignoring the fact that things have changed and now she's trying to suppress her feelings reminding herself over and over again that it shouldn't be her position in the first place so that she can leave should they really fall in love and want to be together like they were supposed to in the beginning.
I've read lots of manhwa. And he's the best male lead character so far. Ouh, and doo joon from positively yours. they both deserve an award for treating the female lead so good because let's be real, It's so damn hard to find men lile them irl. I'm disappointed ╥﹏╥
