"Oh my God Keith is so disgusting I can't stand him If this happened in real life he would be in Jail"
Ok If the Alpha is so disgusting and you don't like the rape that's going on and you complain in the comments why is the rating a 9.3? :0
Hypocrites like to say it's fiction and you wouldn't do this in real life and you don't support this behaviour but hmmmmmmm why is the rating so high (灬º‿º灬)

Bruh same I rage when I see this but then I always end up clicking tho. I dont just hate Keith, Yeon Woo is equally annoying to me. I hate them all.

    _._.spooky._._ January 24, 2021 4:51 am

the story itself is actually good, you can see Yeonwoo be mature enough (and well, smart, which is unfortunately rare to find) to understand who’s abusing him and why Keith’s actions are wrong, also the first rape part was very real in my opinion, he’s (rightfully) scared and traumatized, which is again rare to find in most yaois.
Just because I think a character is bad it doesn’t mean the whole work is bad, Keith is supposed to be this selfish piece of shit, and even if Yeonwoo made it romantic and all at the beginning, he’s starting to understand what’s wrong with this whole behavior.
I really hope that the author decides to keep going in this direction and find Yeonwoo another love interest (or none at all, that’s fine too).
But as I said, you can’t judge a work on a bad character, I put stars to rate the work and if I want to, I’ll write a comment to judge a character, Keith is a disgusting person, you can’t deny that, and if you do you have a distorted vision of life

    Lmao

    the story is trash,
It contains a view so superficial about how an abusive relationship works that is easily dismissed
Yeonwoo is not Smart at all because even though he resigns from work, only to work again as Keith's secretary and enacts this revenge against Keith nothing changes at all.
He continues to be submissive to Keith even if he stands up to him with a few words
And in the end of the light novel Yeonwoo forgives Keith and ends up having sex with him
Why? Why would the author do this?
It's not only Keith that makes this whole work bad.
Keith is a disgusting person, ,but explain to me why people still think he is worth of character development?
Because he grew up in a bad environment?
    Well
From the moment you just create a blame on top of another detail that makes a certain character problematic, you're automatically normalizing the fact that people like Keith, who hurt you and continue to do so, are just misunderstood people, and tend to be forgiven with the victim thinking that the person will change, and in most cases it is not so.
But see rape is a crime the author however makes Yeonwoo go though therapy so he can recuperate from his trauma only for Yeonwoo to create a bond with Keith.
In the end Yeonwoo still gets raped by the person he loves, Keith.
Then what was the point of Yeonwoo getting help if the author is still going to dismiss all that?
This story does not deserve a high rating but people still think it's good
It's not good it will never be
A story doesn't need Toxic relationships to be good
Doesn't need to normalize rape or Toxic relationships
We all are reading the same story but it depends on how you view it that makes it good or bad
I read it and I came to this conclusion:
A trashy story that normalized disgusting behaviour and abusive relationships although the manhwa is not near as bad as the light novel doesn't make it good to me.

I don’t know whether you’ve ever been in an abusive relationship and I really don’t want to know, but I hope you realize how hard it can be for someone who has an abusive partner to leave said partner. How much has it been since he was raped the first time? a few months? A few months of therapy aren’t gonna fix the problem. I don’t know how the light novel ended and honestly I don’t care cause right now i’m not talking about the light novel.
He stands up for himself with a few words because it’s an omegaverse and he’s an omega, someone typically weaker, he can’t physically stand up even if he tried to (which he did)
People think Keith is worth a character development because everyone is worth development. Nothing like “a second chance” but the right to become a better person, he’s the one that has to take it and become better, right now he’s a piece of shit and could use some therapy himself.
Does that mean that Yeonwoo has to follow him through this *possible* changing? HELL NO
He should leave. As soon as possible.
Someone’s development has nothing to do with their lover or idk, sexual partner.
As I said before, I didn’t read the novel nor do I care about the novel, I stated in the previous comment that I hope the author keeps going in that way (Yeonwoo realizing Keith’s sick state of mind and leaves for someone else or no one at all)
I’ve read a lot of shit and tons of them normalize this abusive and manipulative kind of relationship and as far as I’m concerned this one (*FOR NOW*) is going in a semi-good direction. If the author changes their mind in the middle of it then I’ll change my opinion on the work.

The most basic and known example is killing stalking. Both Sangwoo and Yoonbum have a sick mind, does that mean that the author considered their “relationship” normal and romantic? no. Does that mean that the work was shit? fuck no, it’s one of the best in my opinion. The completely fucked up story continues until the end and nothing changes but it still isn’t normalized.

I don't Understand why you're conparing this with killing stalking but go off I guess I already said my piece
Killing stalking was good it didn't normalize their relationship that's the message that the author delivered however Kiss me Liar is completly different there's no use in comparing the two of them I don't know what you're trying to prove but I don't understand as for the author going of in a different Direction?
I highly doubt it but I'd like to see it happen what matters if it was a few months or years?
What I was trying to say was that the author made Yeonwoo go through therapy for a part of the story only to dismiss it all only to make it seem like it never happened and it didn't make sense at all because it only serves for Yeonwoo to create a bond with Keith which completly defeats the purpose of getting therapy if it didn't help Yeonwoo overcome his trauma at all
Well currently the manhwa is following the novel's direction and Idk if it Will have the same ending or not
I am not trying to change no one's opinion about this manhwa just saying my opinion and it came off as a shock to me seeing this manhwa get such a high rating I will wait and see

Ooof to me as this is a late-ish reply. However I understand what you're saying but I kinda disagree. I'm atting the orginal post but I might address some other things. @Nikki kinda mentioned what I was thinking but I want to add on that. You mention that just because a character is bad doesnt mean the story is bad. Yes that is true but it still impacts the story. This is especially true in this case when both main chracters and their relationship is bad. And if the main characters and their relationship which is the focus of the story is bad the story ends up being bad too. I know we can all agree Keith is trash but Yeon Woo isnt that great. Not him but how he is written. During the beginning after Yeon Woo was about to get raped but was saved before it completely went through Keith told him to go through with it. Yeon Woo then quits for just about a week before Keith comes to retrieve him.

You point out how hard it is for an abused partner to leave the abusive partner and I agree. However this is not the case, Yeon Woo's feelings were probably lust or puppy love if it is love. That kind of feeling is the kind easily broken off of and Keith telling him to keep on going with his rapist should of been enough to break off those feelings therefore him not coming back to Keith.

However we see Yeon Woo coming back to Keith with little resistance. Even if his feelings were "love" he still would have been hesitant as his feelings were hurt. But that is not the case in the scene either. The only other option would be some sort of attachment or toxic love to Keith. He wouldn't be attached yet as Keith hasn't been very kind to him while his employment to him and he doesn't have a past that would make him have some sort of toxic love.

Unlike in Killing Stalking(which is fantastic) Yeon Woo doesnt have a reason to keep coming back to Keith. No unhealthy attachment perhaps caused by a mental illness or some other reason. It's just Yeon Woo to making a shit descion so for me it's hard to feel bad for him as after this event before Keith got weirdly attached he had opportunitys to leave which he didn't act upon so in way while it's Keith fault that these things happened to him Yeon Woo isnt being very smart when he is pretty sane.

The author tried to make it seem like love from Yeon Woo's side but it didnt work out as the writing and character development is poor. Later on in the story I wont go into it too much since you havent read the novel but Yeon Woo tries to exact revenge on Keith.

During the revenge Yeon Woo does some bad things that almost and kinda harm other people. Of course you're supposed to feel empathy for him however going back to the things before Yeon Woo isn't really at least to me the character I really felt empathy for. Sure I felt bad for him but he again repeating myself didn't help himself in a lot of situations and isn't really a strong character despite the "character devolpement" as he chooses pretty dirty revenge and stoops a little low.

The author tries humanizing Keiths past actions to make him seem better tho it doesnt really work well and only seems to romanticize the abuse.

Killing Stalking was great in this aspect as it had a good plot with believable and empathizable characters who had reasons for every action unlike this story.

These actions being the foundation of the story as the chracters are make the story weak and ultimately inconsistent and a bad story.

Damn that was long. I don't blame anyone reading this if they skimmed half of this.

The tittle does justice to the content. I'm all in for cheating men and scummy rapists to be completely obliterated by our queen Su Luxia.

She's my favourite female lead because she doesn't forgive these stupid bitches, cheating men and rapists like those dumb bimbos from other chinese manhwas that get drugged and raped, end up pregnant and still get with the man that forced them.

Those manhwas are below my standards.

Cheating men must die is what we truly deserve. ヾ(☆▽☆)

1. Julia and the prince are bffs competing to see who is the president of the I want meliarose-sama to dominate me faction.

2. The prince is a yandere that is aware of everything happening and he is just lurking in the shadows watching their meetings unfold with a creepy smile on his face.

2. Willem aka glasses × Meliarose for the win.

3. The minister that devised this plan is gonna be heartbroken in the future if his ship doesn't sail. I pity him.

4. This transpires pure crackhead energy, this feels like a parody of those reincarnated as the villainess fiancée or Duke's daughter romance mangas but a fanboy is in charge of the whole dynamic and the villainess isn't a reincarnated
Person.

5. The prince is trying to diverge everyone's attention to the heirone so that he could get engaged with meliarose and go on dates with her without having meliarose suspect him for having feelings for her. Well played prince, well played.

6. The duke aka meliarose's father is the character with most common sense out of all of them because even the maids participated in creating the villainess that meliarose is today lol.

That's it. (This manga is not what we asked for but what we needed, 10/10)
