hey I also self harm and the urge got worse when one of my family members found out about it. if you can find a way to suggest to your brother something other than cutting I think it'd be better. for example, chewing on something hard (like nuts) when he's angry or cutting open something like a stuffed toy and sewing it back together when he's frustrated so that he can keep his hands busy. it's different for everyone though and doing these might make him feel worse so if you think it'll do more bad than good, completely disregard everything I said. I have a playlist I listen to whenever I feel anxious and don't know how to handle it, I'll link it here. it's a classical playlist so there aren't any lyrics. tell your brother to follow the melody or try to figure out what notes are going to be played next so he can keep his mind busy. Yeah, it probably will. But it might take some time, since the uploads require not only the translation, but cleaning, redrawing, reviewing, etc. It's rough! But their quality is way better than some random machine translation.
