No romance, very little angst. Somewhat cliche but good, he doesn’t really face any obstacles throughout the story but it’s a decent turn your mind off read. None of the characters end up being annoying either

ok but can someone recommend me more stories with FMCs written like saeyon like genuinely reality-disconnected female protagonists who are clearly a little “off” mentally, not just stories where the author keeps "telling" us they’re crazy
i LOVE when the writing actually shows it through the fmc's actions, internal dialogue, emotional reactions, logic, etc. where you can tell she’s not experiencing the same reality as everyone else in the story, but she herself is mostly oblivious to it
that’s why saeyon works so well for me. she feels like the actual embodiment of “the main character of her own story” in the way tsubaki described it
ideally i’m looking for something similar to The Returned C-Rank Tank Won't Die! because that fmc is probably one of the best examples of this trope i’ve seen so far
but i also want there to be romance. i know most ppl dont like that in those types of stories but like idk its like a special kind of hurt when reading a story where the fmc has gone completely off the rails but still somehow someone who's still got a grip on reality but still batshit crazy enough to understand the fmc and be exactly what she needs so she can continue being the girlboss she is while the ml/fl puts out the fires and makes sure she can just do whatever she wants like idk its like when i read those stories my heart hurts
