It seems that on the novel it is based on, the mc is a pedophile (?) Like, he finds the younger ml to be attractive or rather kids to be more attractive... I haven't read the novel so I don't know how true that is but I'm sure it's on good authority... Man...
I don't mind age gap romance as long as it is handled well and there is no grooming involved ( since it's fiction) but now it's making me rethink reading this... Still, it does have one of the best panelling I have read in any manhwa. I feel like Peace of God aka Master Peace and this has a similar flow in terms of the way it's constructed. And the story is brutal but interesting to read. Still, I hope that aspect of the mc will not be carried over. I am conflicted but we will have to wait and see
This is a very cinematic manhwa. I haven't read anything like it... The panels look almost animated with the way it flows and is constructed. I can see that the author is a huge cinephile and their work is better for it!
Not your usual bl. This one has substance, for lack of a better word . I don't want to sound too pretentious but the subtle way it explores the themes of the story is amazing, so much to dissect and analyze.
Also helps that it has a pretty maso top (๑˃ ᴗ ˂)و
The art is amazing!!! It's so goooood! The story is great as well, very touching . It's not exactly angsty but it is very somber and a bit sad at times. I cried a little reading this, but mostly happy tears which never happens!!!
The mood, the atmosphere, the themes of love in all its forms ughhhhh... My heart .

I think Uramichi as a character is turning out to be very interesting.
His whole past relating to gymnastics, his relationship with his father and how he views himself right now are so well written. He is someone who had to have a one track mind towards athletics because of his father's abuse and now that he doesn't have that, for whatever reason, his life currently is like this and his depression manifested itself in such a form.
Also, he's hot.
I really don't like how Utano is being treated as a character though ngl. I get that marriage is on her mind and is important to her but it's actually not a funny bit that it is being presented as. All I can think about is how shitty her bf is. Like 6 years and no real commitment? Plus, it looks really misogynistic to have the only lady member of the recurring cast to be so hung up on a bf and marriage.
I really like her so I hope she gets a good ending
Kuma is like the straight guy to all these shenanigans so his presence is very much appreciated. I like how well rounded his character is
I find that blonde hair guy (Usasomething) to be especially creepy now. What is up with that high school girls comment? ruined the mood for me.
Overall, this manga does deadpan comedy really well. I really enjoy reading this.
This is a hetgem. Tbh, it can be a bit cringey at times, and the world building isn't anything special but this is a romance first foremost. I absolutely adore how gender non conforming this is. I hope it stays that way.

Actually has an interesting plot, relationship dynamic is interesting, romance is romancing and the characters are actually interesting. This isn't as troupey as I thought it would be, all in all it's a great romance/action manhwa!

The anime doesn't do this justice. It has a little bit of everything!! Slice of life, coming of age, found family, character growth, music, passion, competition etc etc. All seamlessly blended in together.
The themes of redemption and love are intense in this one! I don't just mean romantic love, but grief and friendship as well.
