I love angst plots, but this one didn't really hit me, rather, it didn't spark anything. Yes, there was definitely angst with the first few chapters (season 1), but the story was so fast-paced and lore-deep that I couldn't fully build a connection with any of the characters. It was definitely confusing for the first few chapters with the way the author formatted the story. Character wise, there wasn't much character development. Yes, they did reincarnate, and Arok did try to become a better person, but he truly only moved on at the very last chapter, which I will also say, felt abrupt and rushed. Kloff didn't have any character development. He states he wants to do what's best for Arok, and proceeds to let his anger and overwhelming emotions get the betterment of him. The emotions displayed in the manwha overall, was very abrupt, confusing, and chaotic. Kloff was, and is never a green flag. In the reincarnation, rather than a pure love, I felt as though Kloff was just lust-hungry or lust-driven. He was constantly having multiple rounds with Arok, despite Arok declining. (Another point of ignorance) maybe it's just his personality, if so, I really despise Kloff. He was a tendency of fully possessing things and makes his goals very straightforward. "You are mine" "I want to lock you up" "you can't escape me (because we're bonded)" "I knotted you and didn't pull out only because you won't escape due to having my child." I wanted character development. Kloff didn't change his line of thought at all. Overall, the story was very in-depth of lore, but the execution wasn't the best. I felt as though the beginning was very rushed, which makes it hard to understand and connect with the characters. Despite the unique story, the writing was bland, and I didn't feel any chemistry between the two. (Unless you want to count Kloff's desire for babies and sex every chapter). I would've preferred the beginning to be more thought out as well as having a slower pace. It was very inconsistent. Season 1: Abrupt, indepth lore, rushed, etc. Not much for introductions. Season 2: A lot slower, but still chaotic, but a better understanding of the characters. Season 3: rushed near the end.
