I can understand why people hate the mistress but honestly I felt so much pity for her throughout the chapter. She just wants to be loved, she doesn't feel good enough. She thinks love is unavailable to her so she attracts married men and pursues them because she thinks she has to work hard for love and if she's chosen she's good enough. But she's never chosen. It's a vicious cycle for her, albeit one that she created with her own lack of self worth. She's still not evil for wanting something we all want - love. She just goes the wrong way about it, like a lot of hurt people.

lol. maybe i'm just less emphathetic but so what? Does her lack of self esteem somehow give her the right to cheat and hurt other people? Does the pain she feel somehow excuse her actions? I don't think so. In the end, the main problem here is the guys but she also knew she was committing a terrible act by cheating with them. She's not evil for wanting something yes, but she is for getting it in an immoral way.

I get that this manga may be about perspectives and while this chapter may have given her more complexity, to me her 'hurt" didn't compare to the hurt she has caused. I just couldn't muster up any empathy for her because of that.

Another reason for my issue with her is how she acts so innocent and puts the blame on the guys she cheated with. Like bitch, you are a huge part of the problem yet you act like you're a victim or something.

I mean, it's not her fault the husband decided to cheat. Like, I don't blame her at all. If anything, he lead her on.

You're right. In the end, it's unfair to blame the other woman for "seducing" the dude away. The people most at fault are the husbands. But its naive to say that she is not at fault. Like wtf? She knew the guys were married but still decided to have sex with them because it boosted her self esteem. Despite knowing it was wrong and it would hurt the wives.

No one hates the woman because she somehow stole men away. We hate her because she's doing something immoral that hurts others to get a ego boost. Because she acts like a victim when she's an avid participant in the relationship. Because cheating is not cool. And she's cheated at LEAST 3 times. That shows a lack of principles.

Not to mention, when did the guys lead her on? THe dude we are examining didn't at all. And she most likely knew they would never divorce their wife for her or smh. And then she gets all hurt when she seems them with their wives and is like omg how could you do this to me?? Like bitch plz, stop acting like the dude somehow victimized you or cheated you when he didn't.

The way I see it is she didn’t fuck herself. The husband chose to fuck her instead of his wife and it looks like his biggest concern is making sure he’s not caught. He knows how badly his wife wants sex and he clearly sees she’s miserable he just doesn’t care enough to do anything about it. Knowing this he still chooses to have sex with other women and not her. Let it sink in while his wife is literally in so much sexual frustration she’s in tears and devastated he still chose another woman to satisfy. While Michi is horny and lonely crying in bed another woman is being satisfied and getting release by her own husband.

I don’t even like the glasses lady at all but the biggest problem here is the husband. Even Niina’s wife seems more redeemable then Michi’s husband. Literally he’s the worse character in this entire story. The glasses lady can walk away and he still won’t want to romance his own wife. It’s obvious he doesn’t really love or feel attracted to her anymore but keeps her around because it’s easier for him.

I actually totally agree with you. In the end, in this situation, the biggest problem is the husband. But the original commentator was saying how she pitied the glasses woman and I disagreed with that. Because IMO, the glasses woman isn't a great person who deserves that pity. That was it really.

After reading this chapter I think i realised that Satoko is looking for a parent in mashuu rather than trying to parent him. She grew up withholding her feelings from her family, from everyone. And here comes mashuu, despite his age he's very mature and Satoko feels open with him. Satoko recognises herself that it isn't a child's job to be a counsellor. I think before she even considers a romantic relationship with mashuu, or anyone else for that matter, she should learn to parent herself. She's got a hurting child inside of her that needs to be heard. She should hear the child inside herself and tend to her, not anyone else.
