Hyoseop awakened as a guide pretty young and something happened which then led to him being like held captive by this dude (an esper) for a several years when he was just 15. that is why he joins a low class guild and also why onaip couldnt find any info on him.

OKAY YAY!! im just gonna yap because i really like the novel and will take any chance to talk about it!
Okay so after Hyoseop's parents die and stuff he awakens as a guide when he is 14/15 and joins this famous guild in the U.S. that was actually taking part in the original SS-Class dungeon raid. After the raid Hyoseop fails to save the guild leader and the guild leader's brother hates him for that and ends up using Hyoseop as a possesion and a guiding tool. He ends up getting obsessed with Hypseop and locks him in his apartment and marks him (hence the mark on Hyoseop's chest.)
The guy is really abusive that eventually one of his esper co-workers catches on and tries to save Hyoseop, but in the process both of them end up dying with Hyoseop being at fault. (he is clearly not at fault but is blamed anyway)
Then after that he moves to Korea where he is unaware of the much more misery he will endure! : P
