I hate the big reveal being super easy, barely an inconvenience. ML agonized over this for half the story and MC did not even blink twice at this information he did not previously have before.
Yup, my thoughts exactly. It was a big deal, but MC having no reaction feels weird and rushed. And it's ending in two chapters.
I liked it this way. So often a story has a big reveal like that and the MC says "woe is me!! I've been betrayed!" and then there's a whole bunch of unnecessary turmoil. I much prefer Andy's "meh, we're happy now, so what's the big deal?" I feel like that's real love and acceptance.
Chapter 51 also healed me.
