Even when u take into account that dub con or non con are huge in smut (straight and gay alike), this one's just horrible. Not because the characters dont enjoy it, but percisely because they do. And no, not in the "omg i love non con, do it to me as a play pelase" way, but in the "you did that horrible thing to me but i know you cant help it because you love me so it's all a-okay" way. Like, sure, some would argue that all's well that ends well because Nao just so happen to like Shun in that way and is attracted to him sexually, but even in ch 4 he was still questioning his feeling. Not wanting to lose your best fried does not equal loving them romantically, tf. And you know what I hate the most about this? The fact that Shun act as if Nao's the problem because he brings up the elephant in the fucking room??? Just bacuse Nao at that time does not return his feeling, so why bother??? And, os you cant help but make a move on your best friend by SA-ing them, woe is me??? Boo hoo, honestly. And not a hint of remorse??? And not even a smidge of frustration towards Shun on Nao's part??? What a joke. Again, I dont mind questionable, boundary breaking, toxic, or "problematic" stuff on the stuff I read. I dont believe in censorship or policing what should be written or not. But i do believe in free speech and reading critically. And what I do mind is when there is no self awareness when problematic stuffs are presented and no interesting commentary or POV (or fuck, ANYTHING OF SUBSTANCE) to back it up. They just presented it that way because hey, that's a given when two people are in love. Oh, please. Friends to lovers are the mildest shit ever (bcs what even is a lover if not your best friend), and somehow they've managed to fuck it up this badly.

I remember reading this a couple of years back. Fascinated with the plot and the amount of sheer hatred people have for it. I mean, I kind of understand the sentiment. Things get pretty frustrating at times. But, if you are out here looking for a fresh take on the (incredibly overdone and very much stale) reincarnation/isekai trope, then you cant get any crazier than this one, alright. It has something to say and a story to tell, something of a rarity in the rofan manhwa space. Is it gimmicky??? Eh, maybe. It falls flat for a lot of people. Or it straight up ragebait them into insulting it to oblivion. Like, see all the freaking comment, bruh. Most of them are not happy, that much is apparent. Tho, imo, it at least dares to be more than just your run-of-the-run-of-the-mill rofan, so for that, I respect it. And tbh, the writing is solid. As unlikeable as some of the characters are, I think it boils down to these readers' preference??? But as a character in a story, they are very consistent and serves the plot well enough.
