I don't like that the author is trying to make Hyesung confront his mom again. Why is it always him who has to make the effort? He was a bigger victim of the circumstances handed to him than his mom was. I really hope that he doesn't forgive her because it just seems like a more realistic outcome. You don't have to forgive your parents for the pain they caused you just because they are your parents. They signed up to have you and bear that responsibility. But I get the icky feeling that the author wants them to make up, even if it means Hyesung has to be the bigger person. Not to be stereotypical but Asians, especially East Asians, hold strong importance in family ties and filial piety so it wouldn't be surprising if the author ended the story with the narrative of "family sticks together" and "blood is thicker than water". I hope I'm proven wrong tho.

I don't wanna be a hater but I don't like Soyi's personality like girl idk what happened before your adoption but you have two incredibly loving parents who, dare I say, are much more understanding than Byul's parents. Just bcs Byul excels at certain things doesn't make it okay for you to be bitchy towards him out of jealousy acting like she didn't grow up as his cousin with an equally happy and rich household Jealousy is fine btw, but it shouldn't be used as justification or reasoning to treat someone rudely. From their first interaction, it seemed like Byul didn't treat her particularly unkindly and may have even been friendly to her idk man but I can't stand her personality so I guess I'll be gone until she's gone also, don't come at me for having an opinion and speaking it out. You're free to like her if you want. I just personally don't.
